At River Bend Hospital, we understand that seeking inpatient psychiatric care can feel overwhelming. Our team is committed to providing compassionate support throughout the referral and admission process. While many patients are referred by emergency department physicians, we also accept referrals from primary care providers, psychiatrists, mental health professionals, healthcare organizations, and law enforcement agencies.
To refer a patient, please contact our admissions team at (765) 464-0400. One of our experienced team members will guide you through the referral process and gather information about the patient's current symptoms, treatment history, and medical conditions. Depending on the individual's needs, additional documentation, laboratory results, or other clinical information may be requested to help determine the most appropriate level of care.
Our admissions team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to receive referrals and assess patient needs. River Bend Hospital provides care regardless of a person's ability to pay. Once our clinical team determines that inpatient psychiatric treatment at River Bend Hospital is appropriate, we will proceed with the admission process. If another level of care or treatment option would better meet the patient's needs, our team will provide recommendations and guidance on referrals whenever possible.
