Acute Inpatient Care for Adults
River Bend Hospital provides acute inpatient psychiatric care for adults experiencing severe mental health symptoms that require a safe, structured, and supportive treatment environment. Our goal is to help patients achieve stabilization, develop coping skills, and successfully transition to the next appropriate level of care.
We provide treatment for individuals experiencing:
- Severe depression
- Suicidal thoughts or behaviors
- Psychosis
- Bipolar disorder
- Other serious mental health conditions
What treatment may include
Patients receive individualized care from a multidisciplinary treatment team that may include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, group therapy, recreational therapy, nursing care, discharge planning, and coordination of follow-up services.
Treatment goals may include
- Improved emotional stability and mood regulation
- Better sleep, nutrition, and overall physical well-being
- Improved concentration and clearer thinking
- Enhanced communication and coping skills
